Delicious and Educational!
The best combination, wouldn't you say?
This video features my lovely roomate, Elizabeth. As an Environmental and Technology Studies concentrator, she is required to design a final project related to environmental studies. Because she is a talented in the culinary arts, she decided to combine this talent with her passion for the environment by teaching three cooking classes using local and organic foods. Watch this video to learn more about the importance of place in sustainability.
Also, check out these three recipes from her classes. I went to the first two classes and those meals were DELICIOUS! And I did partake in some of the left over brownies from the third class, and let me tell you...those were easily the best brownies I've ever had. And I should mention that her lemon cake, which we baked on the second day, won Best Baked Good at a fair in CT when she was 11 years old. So check out these recipes and eat delicious organic, local, and award-winning foods.

I couldn't help but think of this video when I bought macaroni and cheese and spaghettios today at the grocery store.
Maybe I'll spruce those dinners up with some banana slices or something.

Cool! I'm glad it is having an effect on people. Although, if you want to get technical, banana slices probably aren't the most local thing to eat. But, hey if you at least know where they are coming from, it's a start!

Are you soliciting your boyfriend for comments? Even worse, pretending like he's a stranger. Hey, I've got a better comment...how about Jacob just says "Hey, I'll talk to you tonight." This is definately going make an appearence in our new project. Oh, also, I finally put up a new post on my blog.

Thomas, do I have to acknowledge that he's my boyfriend everytime I talk to him? Do I have to be like "Oh sweety thanks for the comment. You're so sweet and honeylike. Here let me make you a sandwich, darling." ? No I do not. We comment on each others blogs because it's just nice. I know how much you live for the comments, I would think that you would understand. Also, i like how every time you comment on my blog its to say something mean. If you think this is going to bring you the internet stardom...it's not. Meanie.

It sounds like your school hosts some really progressive programs. I really liked this vlog because I find it hopeful to see educational programs teaching methods of forming community and sustainability. Thanks for sharing it.

You're very welcome! I'm glad you liked it:) My school has always been pretty progressive, but we are really just now starting to focus on serious sustainability issues right now. What's even better there really is a sustainability movement going on in colleges and universities. Now if we can just translate that to the rest of the country, right? :)
Thanks again!

This is getting ridiculous. I can't believe I'm actually asking you to put up the Spring Concert video of me dancing, but the anticipation is killing me. Get it over with Damn You! Let me see what filth you have on me!
